LINKS
LINKS is an electronic numeracy resource that is mapped to the Foundation Learning Progressions. LINKS is designed to help plug the gaps in a learner's knowledge by providing the user with guided learning and a chance to develop different strategies. It is fully interactive and includes voiceover. It will be possible to attach downloadable worksheets to LINKS, providing learners with further exercises and contextualised examples. The LINKS project will be a valuable part of the Workplace Literacy Training provided by McGirr Training.

ALANA
ALANA (Adult Literacy And Numeracy Assessment) is an online, self-marking literacy and numeracy assessment tool. This diagnostic tool can help a tutor to identify gaps in a learner’s skills and inform the preparation of an individual learning plan. Access can be given to an assortment of reports on an individual’s or group’s results. ALANA will let you know which areas a learner has trouble with and can be used for a second time to measure progress. Get in touch with us to find out more.

Office Administration
Our Office Administration course is a blended learning package which combines e-learning,workbooks, exercises and assessments. It teaches basic office skills and prepares a learner for units 121 and 327. The content is contextualised by using a fictional retail environment.

Unit Standard based training and assessment
Much of our material can be used to prepare and assess a learner for a NZQA Unit Standards. We have material for computing, communications and a variety of other units available. Our most popular example is 64:

• Unit 64 - Workplace Calculations.The e-learning shows a learner how to use the calculator on their computer to perform common workplace calculations. Mark-ups, Markdowns and GST are all covered in this course. We have blended the e-learning with a small workbook and a handful of exercises to prepare a learner to pass an assessment for Unit Standard 64.
