Much of our material can be used to prepare and assess a learner for NZQA Unit Standards. Our Workplace Calculations blended learning is a good example of this.

The e-learning for this standard (see the screen shot below) shows a learner how to use the calculator on their computer to perform common workplace calculations. Mark-ups, Markdowns and GST are all covered in this course. We have blended the e-learning with a small workbook and a handful of exercises to prepare a learner to pass an assessment for Unit Standard 64. We can also supply a provider with the assessment. This unit is being used by McGirr training as an important component in many of their Workplace Literacy projects. McGirr believes that the development of 'financial literacy' is an important step on the way to becoming a more productive member of the workforce.
