Workplace Training Programme

This is a Government-funded programme providing FREE workplace training. It is designed to develop employee confidence and competence with all aspects of language, literacy, numeracy and learning.

The course is structured so that training:

  • is customised to each workplace
  • training takes place on site
  • hours are flexible (for example, could be half an hour of work time, half an hour employee time)
  • will be a blend of tutor-led sessions, group work, one-on-one, self-paced learning, online internet-based learning modules (for example, reading, numeracy, IT), self-paced workbooks and contextualised resources

Additional information:

  • blended learning allows for the development of a wide range of skills and embedded competencies which may be a secondary outcome to an initial objective of, for example, gaining competency in numeracy, customer service skills, or health and safety
